Richard J. Rundle Elementary School is located in the East Region of the Clark County School District. There are 972 students and 91 staff members. A large number of families in the area are considered to be of lower socio-economic status. Almost 95% of the students attending Rundle Elementary School are receiving free or reduced lunch. Approximately 95% of the students at Rundle Elementary School have limited proficiency in English. The transiency rate is 37%, compared to 36% for the district. Enrollment at Rundle Elementary School continues to steadily increase each year. It is currently operating on a year round schedule. Many of the Rundle Elementary School parents are employed by area gaming establishments in the service industry. Construction is also a major source of employment.
