Dodson Elementary School is located in a comfortable neighborhood in the southeast section of Reno in the Washoe County School District. There are 545 students and 50 staff members at Dodson. The transiency rate for students is approximately 26%. Half of all students attending Dodson qualify for free or reduced meals. White students make up less than half of the student body at Dodson. The minority population is mostly Hispanic and nearly one third of Dodson students are second-language learners.
