The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB) requires that states evaluate their Reading First programs. To meet this requirement, the Nevada Department of Education contracted with MGT of America, Inc. (MGT) to conduct an external evaluation of the state's Reading First program. The purpose of this evaluation is to describe the implementation status of the grant and to examine the reading achievement of K-3 students in Nevada Reading First schools.
